General Right to Vote
Constitution:

  • See Article 208.
  • Article 58 states, “The State shall promote, protect and ensure the enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms of persons with disabilities equal and full and independent exercise of their abilities. The state shall take positive measures to facilitate their integration into family, community, social, occupational, economic, cultural and political.”

(1997)

  • Article 121 states: "When an elector is unable to vote without assistance, he may, with the authorization of the president of the electoral college, use the help of an individual he trusts, shall accompany him into the voting booth or recess or closed room and prepare his ballot, without allowing any other person to be close enough to see or hear whatever is done or said while the said ballot is prepared."
