General Right to Vote
Constitution:
(1962)
• Article 80, section (1) states, "The National Assembly is composed of fifty members elected directly by universal suffrage and secret ballot in accordance with the provisions prescribed by the electoral law."

Exclusion Based on Physical Disability
Constitution:
(1962)
• Article 82 states: "A member of the National Assembly shall…(b) be qualified as an elector in accordance with the electoral law…(d) be able to read and write Arabic well."
