General Right to
Vote Constitution
(1921, last amended 2008)
- Article 20, section (2) states, “All Liechtenstein citizens who have completed their 18th year, have their normal residence in Liechtenstein, and whose right to vote has not been suspended shall be entitled to all political rights in national matters.”
- Article 46, section (1) states, “Parliament shall consist of 25 Members who shall be elected by the People by universal, equal, secret and direct suffrage according to the system of proportional respresentation.”

- Article 1, section 1 states, "In the affairs of state, those entitled to vote are all citizens who have reached their 18th year, and have lived for at least one month before the election in the place they normally reside."
- Article 3 states, "Participation in elections is a citizen's obligation."
