  • Article 26 states: "Permanent residents of the Macao Special Administrative Region shall have the right to vote and the right to stand for election in accordance with law."

  • Article 75 (Order of voting), section 3 states, “Special care shall be delivered to the ageing, disabled, unwell, or pregnant persons.”
  • Article 76 states...
  • Blind or physical ill or disabled electors or members of the Election Committee shall submit to the competent entity a declaration proving their inaccessibility to vote personally and unaccompanied issued by a medical doctor of the Health Bureau.
  • Persons referred to in the previous paragraph may vote accompanied by another elector or member of the Election Committee to his or her choice, who must gurantee the faithful expression of his or her vote and who is subject to a strict confidentiality.
  • For the purpose of what is provided in paragraph 1 the health centers designated by the chairperson of the EACCE shall remain operating on polling day, during the period of functioning of the polling stations.
