- Article 135 states, “Suffrage is a right and it should be for all citizens. The vote is free, equal, universal, secret, and direct.”

Voter Assistance

- Article 240 states, “Voting facilities are prohibited near...or premises which may impede the free access of individuals.”
- Article 254 states, “The vote is secret. Persons who are obviously blind and persons who are physically unable to act without assistance may be accompanied by persons whom they trust.”
- Article 255 states, “The president of the voting station will make the necessary provisions in order to give voting priority, without waiting in line, to pregnant women, the sick of physically handicapped, those over 60, doctors, nurses, auxiliaries, press photographers, tv cameramen and journalists who are working on election day, provided that they have the right to vote under articles 6, 7, 8 and 9 of this code.”
