Taiwan

General Right to Vote
Constitution:
(1994)
• Article 17 states, "The people shall have the rights of election, recall, initiative, and referendum."
• Article 45 states, "Any citizen of the Republic of China who has reached the age of forty may be elected President or Vice President."

Exclusion Based on Mental Disability
Electoral Law:
(1994)
• Article 14 states: "All citizens of the Republic of China who have attained the age of 20 and do not have any of the following circumstances shall be eligible to vote…(2) To have been declared incompetent and the declaration has not been abrogated."
