Constitution:

• Article 43 states: "The National Assembly shall be composed of:
(a) Thirty members elected directly by universal suffrage and secret ballot
in accordance with the provisions prescribed in the electoral law. The number
of these members shall be increased to forty with effect from the elections
for the second legislative term. Electoral constituencies shall be determined
by law."
