General Right to Vote
Electoral Law:

• Article 3 states: "These are the principles of voting: (a) Voting is universal, direct, free, obligatory and secret…."
Constitution:
(1994)
• Article 6, section (1) states: "Every human has legal capacity in accordance with the laws. Guaranteed rights and freedoms are enjoyed by everyone without discrimination due to race, sex, language, religion, political or other affiliations, origin, socio-economic status or other."

Voter Assistance by Other Citizens

• Article 162, section (i) states: "The blind and physically disabled voters from an electoral district will be accompanied by the President of a voter table.

• Those people with visual and physical disabilities enter the polling station accompanied by the president of the polling place. In cases where the voter is visually impaired, the president may guide the voter's fingers in order to help the voter determine where each candidate is located on the ballot. P 25
