General Right to Vote
Constitution:
(1995)
Article 21 section (2) states: "
disabled war and peacetime
veterans
as well as persons suffering from incurable bodily or mental ailments
are entitled to the special care of the State."
Article 31 states: "To be eligible for election to the presidency,
a person must
be legally entitled to vote."
Article 51 section (3) states: "Members of Parliament shall be elected
through direct, universal and secret ballot by the citizens who have the right
to vote, as specified by law. The law cannot abridge the right to vote except
in cases where a minimum age has not been attained or in cases of legal incapacity
or as a result of irrevocable criminal conviction for certain felonies."
Article 55 section (1) states "To be elected as Member of Parliament,
one must
have the legal capacity to vote
