Article 2, part (3) states:
Persons lacking active legal capacity as declared by a civil judgment of a court having entered into force, as well as persons sentenced by a criminal judgment having entered into force and serving a punishment for grave and particularly grave offences, committed intentionally, do not have the right to elect.
Article 80, part (1) states:
Everyone who has attained the age of 25, has been a citizen of the Republic of Armenia only, for the preceding 4 years, has been permanently residing in the Republic of Armenia for the preceding 4 years, has the right of suffrage and has command of the Armenian language may be elected as Deputy of the National Assembly.
Article 27 states:
Citizens found to be incompetent by a court ruling, or duly convicted of a crime and serving a sentence may not vote or be elected.

Article 59 states:
In the event of the serious illness of the President of the Republic or of insurmountable obstacles affecting the performance of his or her duties, upon the recommendation of the Government and a determination by the Constitutional Court, the National Assembly shall adopt a resolution on the incapacity of the President of the Republic to exercise his or her duties with a minimum two thirds majority vote of the total number of deputies.
