Article 5 states:

The electoral authority will establish the form in which a citizen with a physical disability or who is illiterate will be able to exercise their right to participate in the voting process.

 

Article 7 states:

A vote is personal, equal and secret…

 

Article 8 states:

All citizens have the right to be elected or to elect their representatives, in accordance with conditions and procedures that are established in the law.

Article 9 states:

Peruvians with civil rights in force are required to vote. For over seventy years of age, voting is optional.

 

Article 10 states:

The exercise of citizenship and thus the right to elect and be elected is suspended in the following cases…court decision for interdiction…

The blind are accompanied into the voting booth by a person whom they trust and, if possible, provide an official document that permits this person to cast their vote.

 

Article 276 states:

The Electoral Coordinator will have as his principle functions [...] to orient the sight-impaired as to the proper use of the template designed especially for the sight-impaired.
